The East End Arts Council’s Teeny Awards is a student theatre arts recognition program, established in 2002, patterned after the Tony Awards.  Qualified judges attend plays and musicals at participating high schools throughout the East End and score students in a number of categories.  The mission of the Teeny Awards is to recognize and celebrate East End theatre students and encourage them to pursue their dreams; and encourage increased attendance and community pride at our school productions, while developing an understanding of the value of theatre education in a well rounded school curriculum.  The program concludes each year with a formal gala awards ceremony where each winner is announced and presented with an elegant glass trophy and a scholarship.

"All of our theatre participants work very hard and have much of which to be very proud," said Director Sean O'Hara.
